What is Fantastik?

The fantastic genres are many and can be difficult to describe together. Putting it short you could say we are talking about science fiction, fantasy, and horror. Under these genres - and not the least between them - we find a lot of subgenres and hybrids. There are various words you can use in order to make a more precise definition. Some of these are: Fabulous, enchanting, alienating, grotesque, hallucinatory, imaginary, supernatural, surreal, spooky, subconscious, wonderful, and visionary. Being hard to define just makes it more exciting, as it at the same time opens for a lot of different viewpoints and interpretations.
We are talking about many different types of stories, and they are told via many different channels. The written word, the spoken story, the penciled as well as the living picture, and not the least also the physical performance. Hence we are talking about both books, role playing games, comics, movies, and art.
