The science fiction interest group is concerned with pure/hard science fiction, predominantly (but not exclusively) in the form of novels and short stories. Activities include meetings about, and readings and analyses of, pre-chosen works and their relation, if any, to other media. Also discussion of the concept of pure/hard science fiction, and production of relevant articles and reviews.
